Audrey is Two!

Audrey is doing much, much better.  Today she turned 2.  The past two years have passed so quickly.  Much quicker than the two years it took TTC Miss Audrey Claire.  I have to update soon but while I gather my thoughts I wanted to share a video taken yesterday during AC's birthday celebration.  I love this video because it really captures many aspects of Audrey's personality.  From her happy skip walk to the table, her shy face during the singing (Audrey hates being the center of attention), to her love of cake.  I love my sweet girl.  Here's the link to The Birthday Video. 

My Christmas Wish

I just want Audrey to get well.  She continues to have diarrhea.  It's been 3 weeks.  We've had vomiting all week.  She's lost almost 2 lbs. and looks sickly thin.  I hate this...

I Plan, God Laughs

Sooooo, this was going to be the year that I was really organized and all that jazz.  A lot of things that I wanted to do for this holiday season have happened but there are other things that I have failed miserably at.  Due to circumstances beyond my control (read: AC coming down with the most awful illness I've encountered among all my children) I've realized that Christmas cards will not be going out this year.  BUT, I would love to send out Happy New Year/AC is gonna be TWO cards.  If any of you three two readers remaining would like to receive such a card please email me your address at jenferh@sbcglobal.net.

Audrey has been very ill.  For the past week she has had diarrhea and for the past three days she's added vomiting.  Every night this weekend she woke up anywhere between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. covered in her dinner.  We spend a few hours in the ER last night/this morning.  Today we saw the doctor who said that this is some sort of nasty virus and the vomiting/diarrhea could last a few days more.  I'd appreciate and thoughts and prayers for my Mighty Mite to get better.  She seems so frail right now.  She weighed in at 23 lbs at the doctor's office.  I was hoping she would have gained weight by her 2 year appt but this illness has dashed that idea.

Expanding

My brother and his wife had their first baby Monday night.  After a very long labor (almost 24 hours) my nephew was born.  He had a bit of a rough start but he's doing well overall.  I was unexpectedly invited into the labor and delivery room to witness him being born and to take pictures.  Seeing this little guy come out lifeless, blue, and struggling to get his bearings really took a piece of my heart.  Truly a miracle.
