A Letter From Emily's School...

To The Parents of Emily Howard:

Your daughter's story, The Binky has been selected by the Imagination Machine to be performed at the assembly on May 1st at 10:30 a.m., in the school cafeteria.  This is a surprise for the students, so please don't mention it to her.  We invite you to attend and share in this one of a kind experience, where their writings will be brought to life by skilled actors and musicians.

congratulations on raising a gifted writer and thank  you for encouraging your child to participate.  (To note, there were over 120 writings and only 10 were chosen)  Congratulations again!

Sincerely,

School PTA

I ask you, "How cool is that????"

An Apology

I just wanted to write a quick apology to any of you who have emailed me and not received a response. I just found out this morning that a lot of my regular emails have been going to my spam folder.  Boo.  I'm hoping to find time this evening to retrieve these emails.

I'm feeling a lot better lately.  I have another update for my private blog.  I'll be writing all about it this evening.

I'm surrounded by people, but feel so alone.  Having a blue morning...

Return to Reality

Today went better than I had expected.  The morning was chaotic and stressful as most mornings are around here.  Getting Emily ready for school.  Dressing Molly and Audrey, while keeping them from mischief.  Having Emily make a thousand and one different requests.  Most of them involving bugs, slugs and snails.

Once the little ones were up from their naps and Emily was back home from school the day seemed much easier.  Audrey chose today to start to increase her gibberish and babble.  I'm starting to hear more and more words from her.  I'm just excited to see her trying to carry on a conversation rather than grunting.

I'm hoping for an easier morning tomorrow.  I think I might have a few ideas to avoid all the conflict between the two year olds.

School Activities

Right now we're knee deep in Read A Thons, yogurt night, pizza night, and lots of homework.  When I get the kids in bed I continue with the project I've been working on.  I'm hoping to have some goods for sale by the end of the week.  I'm curious to see if I actually sell something.

I completed all of my dental work today.  Molly was home with Jeremy, Emily was at school and Audrey was with my mom who is watching my 5 month old nephew.  Audrey had a wonderful time, so much so that my mom would like to watch her one day a week.  I'm not sure how that would work out when I am watching a child here.  I don't know if Audrey would like the time away or if she wouldn't want to share me with someone while she is away.  I go back to watching the little girl tomorrow.  She turned TWO today.

Remember Ain't?

I remember being a kid and using the word ain't, only to have the closest adult tell me that ain't wasn't a word.  Emily has taken to using the "word" amn't instead of am not.  I love hearing her use it, but still correct her.

Lately Emily is into hunting for treasure and collecting bugs and snails.  I need to start collecting jars to keep up with all her found friends.

I'm still working on a project that is very exciting to me so I'll keep this short and sweet.

I've added a few more pictures to my Flickr account.  Including some pics of Audrey with her new haircut she got last week.  She hated the whole experience and just said "I don't like it" over and over.

Another reason to add to my list of "why I won't ever pose semi-nude with bad props in a photo"...

EVERYTHING!

My Moll Moll.  She is quite the handful.  Nothing scares her.  She keeps up with her sisters and loves finding new things to pick apart.  Audrey's therapist was shocked at Molly's ability to stack blocks, use the ring stacker and shape sorter.  Molly is such a sponge, she can't help but learn all these things from her sisters.  You can see the wheels turning inside her head all the time.  The pursed lips shout to me "I'm up to no good!"   Thank goodness she is in bed by 6 p.m.  I don't have enough energy to go past that hour with her :P

Good Times
