Fun Friday

Today ended up being a busy fun filled day.  I got the girls dressed and ready to take Emily to school.  I have a lot of dresses for Molly, but I don't like to put her in dresses until she can walk because it's hard to crawl around in a dress.  I hate the idea of good clothes going to waste in the closet so I put Molly's 1 year old dresses on Audrey as shirts...

No Smiles Today

As you can see, Audrey is not very fond of the camera nowadays.  She barely tolerated her picture being taken.

We usually try to walk Emily to school as a family, including Jeremy.  The other day we were walking Emily to school and a mom from another class approached us and told us that she just wanted to let us know that she thought we were a beautiful family.  That honestly made my whole week.  I know that she didn't mean beautiful in an aesthetic way.  I've been feeling far from beautiful lately.  I'm sure she meant that it was nice to see us all together loving each other as a family, which we truly do.  There are many things in life that I would like but one thing I never yearn for is for a different family life.  I love that Jeremy works from home and that our girls have equal opportunities to be with both of us all the time.

I didn't expect to get that deep but I'm weaning myself off of Zoloft so bear with me.  After getting Emily off to school, Jeremy and I took Audrey and Molly to Michaels for more yarn.  I've been adding different products to my Sud Satchel shop and  the baby wraps that I started making have become more and more popular.  I needed more yarn to get more wraps in stock.  While I was picking out yarn Jeremy found a latch hook kit with the picture of a fish that he wanted to try making.  When we got home I realized that it didn't come with the actual latch hook, poor Jeremy.

We came back home, ate lunch, and got the girls down for their naps.  I spent naptime making money on a website called cash crate.  I'm a sucker for online surveys and signing up for samples.  The company truly does pay out.  I'll be sure to take a picture of my first check and post it here.

After naptime and getting Emily from school I took the girls to my parents' house.  We had so much fun.  My mom watches my nephew and he was started to get a little antsy.  My dad decided to take him for a walk and let the girls join him.  Emily decided to get out her big wheel and I thought that would be the perfect opportunity to have Audrey use the mini big wheel trike we got her last summer.  Audrey wasn't very good at pedaling so I convinced her to put her feet on the foot rest and I would let her steer any way she wanted to.  We had so much fun riding all over the place.

Emily decided to spend the night at my parents'.  As soon as I got Audrey and Molly home, I took Molly to bed and Audrey had one on one time with Jeremy and I this evening.  She loves her time alone.  She spent a good hour playing with her toy train set and then she read me a book before going to bed.  I love days like this...

Finding Love, In the Kitchen

For a long while I was really enjoying my time making dinner in the kitchen.  I was trying out new recipes and everyone was enjoying what I was making.  After rotating favorite dinners for a while I became bored.  I started dreading time in the kitchen and began reaching for take out menus.  Right now I'm willing myself to cook dinner.  Surprisingly, I'm enjoying my time in here again.  If anyone would like to share any recipes with me, please do.  I'm in need of something new.

Also, completely random.  Emily brought to my attention that the beginning of James Blunt's song, "You're Beautiful" is very similar to the music from Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron.  Anyone else notice that?

I Love You Little, I Love You Big, I Love You Like a Little Pig!

I've had a huge love of tiny ever since I was a kid.  If anything was good regular sized, then It would be great tiny.  With that in mind I just had to make a tiny version of my Sud Satchels.  They turned out even cuter than I anticipated...

She's Pinky!!

Audrey spends most of her day as her alter ego "PInky". If you call her Audrey she gets mad and corrects you. The funny part of this video is when Emily walks by and says hi to Audrey. Audrey doesn't even notice it. I should be so lucky :P

Juggling

Today was spent juggling the girls between Jeremy and me.  This morning I watched all three girls while Jeremy went out to buy a hedge trimmer.  When he came home I left Emily to help him and I took Molly and Audrey to Old Navy for some much needed shorts for Emily.  Then I took the youngins to Henry's to buy a bunch of fruits and veggies.  I came home, Jeremy took Audrey and Emily to Subway while I put Molly down for a nap.  A nap that didn't happen because Molly had taken a TEN MINUTE catnap in the car on the way home.

It's kind of difficult to argue with a 1 year old and convince them that they need to sleep longer than 10 minutes in the car for the whole day.  I decided to put Audrey down for her nap instead, left an overtired Molly with Jeremy and took Emily out for a haircut.  She loves her NEW HAIR.  After Emily's haircut, we went back home.  I left Emily with Jeremy, Audrey was still sleeping and I took Molly with me to look for trial sized soaps for my Sud Satchels.  On the way to shopping Molly fell asleep for another 5 minutes, so she had a total of 15 minutes of naptime in the van for the whole day.  She fell fast asleep at 6 p.m. tonight.

I had a headache until about an hour ago.  It was really hot today and I forgot to drink enough water while running around town.
